Finally! Makeup for Dummies. I recently purchased an eyeshadow quad by Maybelline, they were having a sale, buy one get one free. I love it. In each upper left hand corner of the eyeshadow is written a different word (right into the eyeshadow!) “Lid” “Crease” “Brow Bone” and “Corner”.
The low down? People don’t know how to apply their eyeshadow to play up their eyes! Well, they are right. You do the lid first, then the crease, then the brow bone, and for added drama, the very outer corner of your eye.
What is extra special about this eyeshadow is that on top of coming in a great variety of colors, it has TWO applicators in there. Enough for one sponge tip per color (quad means four, so one for each color, no mixing, yay!)
The most noted and probably overlooked direction for this eyeshadow is on the back. It gives you a guide for applying the eyeshadow, for example:
Want a simple daytime look? Apply the Lid only color.
Want a casual look? Apply the Lid and Crease only.
Want a classic look? Apply Lid, Crease, and Brow Bone.
Into Drama? Add the Corner color to the Lid, Crease, and Brown Bone regimen.
I wish more cosmetic companies would do this. It never hurts to have some direction with a great new color or tool. Maybe she’s born with it….nah, it’s Maybelline.
