Junk foods and extra fatty meals are still not suggested, as all it does is make you fat. If you just want to become fat, then go on right ahead and engorge on junk foods and fatty meals, but they will only make you a lot less healthy than is beneficial or desirable. You need to gain the right kind of weight; to be precise, you need to gain muscle weight.

You should also avoid caffeine and nicotine. They trigger metabolism which isn’t a good thing if you want to build up body mass. Eating frequently after you work out can also help you gain muscle weight.

You should also eat late at night, but take care not to let it mess up your sleeping habits. At night, you don’t burn off calories as much since your metabolism slows down, thus, helping you gain weight.

Some food groups are more advisable for those who are in a diet to gain weight. Those needed calories can be obtained from milk-based products like milk, yogurt and cheese. You can also get the right kind of calories into your body from grain products like rolls and bread, and from fresh fruit juices.

Protein is a must at every meal as it helps build muscle which will lead to the weight gain that you’re looking for. Those that are rich in protein are dairy products, dry fruits and nuts like almonds and cashews.

Weight gain is a valid concern for an unknown lower percentage of the world’s demographics. It’s your preference if you’d rather be slim or thin but it doesn’t always work for everyone. There are those people who’d look better with extra meat and flesh on their bones. Fortunately, there are diets to gain weight that can give others the opportunity to get the right body that they really want.
