What Did Mom’s Want For Mother’s Day?

Yes, it seems a bit late to be schmoozin’ on the topic of what Mom’s wanted for Mother’s Day but I can’t resist, especially since we’re sponsoring an iPod Giveaway over on Mom’s Talk Radio for the rest of May - the whole point being that an awful lot of Moms did not get what they really wanted for Mother’s Day: an iPod!

What did Mom’s get for Mother’s Day that they didn’t want?

Flowers?

Hmmm… I suppose there are a few mothers who do dearly love flowers but gifts that shrivel up and die within a week just can’t compare to an iPod that can be delivering my favorite music and podcasts for years to come.

Chocolate?

Well now, I wouldn’t complain about a nice box of chocolate - but I’d rather have in iPod to take with me on a walk or to the gym. If I took a box of chocolates to the gym I might get some funny looks.

Small Appliances?

Unless that small appliance can strap to my arm and feed sweet nothings in my ear via tiny white wires with ear buds on the end, I’m just not giving any snaps.

Breakfast in Bed?

Of course, every Mom wants that - but that better not be ‘the gift’ - it should just be the form of delivery (for the iPod hidden under the napkin)

Whatever you got for Mom’s Day - if it wasn’t an iPod, I hope you’ll forgive your sweet little misguided family.
