The first thing I would like to do is say happy mothers day to all the hard working mothers out there. I have developed a great appreciation for this day after watching my wife go thru pregnancy and delivery. I don’t believe any man could do that and still like the finished product.
I never really gave mothers day much thought before we had kids because I never really had a reason to. I have watched my wife with our kids and am still in awe over her dedication to them above anything else. Then I look at my mother in law and see where she gets it, she may be the worlds greatest grandmother. She will plan a tea party for weeks, clothes and all, just for a two hour party. I can only imagine how good of a mother she was when my wife was growing up.
This has become a day that I feel is severely under appreciated. The time and effort that all good mothers put into the relationship they have with their kids is taken for granted. Mothers shape these kids into what they become as adults and deserve more respect than they get. As a stay at home dad I know what you go thru day after day and personally would like to say thank you for what you do.
