No Name Zone Keeps Kids Safe

A friend of mine showed me a really cool awareness this morning called the No Name Zone.  It isn’t really a product but a way of labeling your children’s items so that they aren’t labeled by his or her name.  Check out the video that explains how to teach your kids to label their items safely.

This is great information and a good thing to think about with school just starting this year. It’s sad that we have to be cautious about something as simple as putting your child’s name on their belongings, but predators are lurking everywhere and it’s always better to be safe.

I remember my oldest son being really upset on his first day of kindergarten because I wouldn’t let him take the backpack that had his name embroidered on it. Sometimes I feel paranoid about things like that, but I’d rather be paranoid and safe than my child be taken advantage of by a predator.

I totally love this idea of creating a “logo” for each of the kids instead of using their initials! That’s totally brilliant and fun!
