Knowing my love for all things smelly, my coworker passed on an extra tub of her “alba body cream”…it definitely fell under the category of smelly. It was extremely potent. The scent I tried was papaya mango. This was pretty overpowering, the scent lasted all day and well into the evening.
The texture was very light and velvety, it reminded me of spreading room temperature butter on corn on the cob in the summer. Apparently, alba products are never tested on animals, contain 100% vegetarian ingredients and are also hypo-allergenic – I mean, what’s not to like!?!? My coworker purchased hers at Costco for what she called “a steal” at $17 for the body cream, body scrub, and a chapstick.
The only possible drawback I could see is the overpowering frangrance…but I really couldn’t even find fault with that, how many times have you purchased a lotion, butter, or cream and have had the scent wear off after a couple hours? If you want something that will definitely stay with you all day long, this is it.
My next adventure will be finding out what other scents are offered in this body cream and if they are as potent as the papaya mango (perfect for spring break or during the summer, in my opinion).
