Recently, I’ve decided to explore the wonderful world of Victoria’s Secret. Since I don’t have the figure for wearing their clothes – or “scraps of cloth” as I like to refer to their attire – one can at least SMELL like a VS buyer.
Down the initial path of VS items I came across the Dream Angels collection, which, among other scents, include two distinct fragrances:
Heavenly- a blend of white musk, white peony, and other florals.
and
Wish – a blend of grapefruit, orange flower and cashmere woods.
I felt that Heavenly was properly named. It smells “heavenly” almost like an angel’s wings lightly kissing your face. It has a somewhat sweet aroma so that may be a turnoff for some. But if you spray it on light (a little goes a long way) you won’t smell like an old lady who has marinated in perfume all night. I think it was the underlying musk tones of the perfume that I enjoyed the most.
I felt that Wish was also properly named, but that is because I “wish” I hadn’t purchased the perfume. I don’t know if it was the grapefruit or the orange flower but either way, it was just too “tart” smelling for me. PEOPLE I want perfume – not breakfast. In general the scent was too teenagerish for me at first and then once it fades it smells like old lady orange cologne. Definitely one to skip.
So if you are in the market for perfume, play it safe with Heavenly but spare yourself from making a Wish purchase.
