After years of searching, I think I have found the “perfect musk” scent. Victoria’s Secret has come out with a “Very Sexy” line of products and I am reviewing the self-titled one pictured in this post (there is also Very Sexy “Dare” and so on which is along the same lines of VS Dream Angels “series”).
This fragrance can best be described as oriental, but not so over the top as the Japanese Cherry Blossom fragrance from Bath and Body Works. Its top notes are composed of cappuccino, pepper, exotic cactus flowers and Clementine (a cross between a sweet orange and a Chinese mandarin). If those ingredients don’t leave your head spinning and your senses reeling – then buckle up!
The middle notes have camellia, mimosas, orchid and Hortensia (a type of hydrangea flower). The base has musk, light amber, woody notes and red berries. I believe it’s this latter combination that makes the entire perfume smell like a great – perfect – musk for any evening out.
The pepper lends a very sharp “hot” smell to the perfume so my guess is that like with any perfume, it will depend on your own personal body chemistry.
