Of course I find out after I’ve fallen in love with a new actor that he doesn’t bathe and may be mentally unstable. Gosh this feels like my journey with Brad Pitt and Matthew McConaughey.
The other night I watched and loved, the movie “Twilight“…and immediately started researching the actors in the movie. From all reports, Robert (Edward Cullen in the movie) is accused by cast mates as reeking due to not bathing and also having mental breakdowns and even crying jags due to the stress of being a new star.
I feel bad for him. That is a lot of stress and pressure for a person to take and then to have the media constantly ripping you to shreds. It is the price you pay for being famous. The filming of “New Moon” has now started with a reportedly smaller role for Pattinson and a larger role for the wolf – Taylor Lautner – who has supposedly packed on some 30 pounds of muscle for the role. That can’t sit well with the former lead of the movie.
I also find it interesting that the lead actor of a sequel movie has changed. I plan to buy the series of books and read those instead, at least with those I can use my own imagination and not have to contend with hearing and reading about star meltdowns at every turn.
Well I gotta say I wish you had become more familiar with Rob Pattinson before you wrote this and kept these lousy rumors going!
The reeking you mentioned is the audacity of people to say things from an “unnamed source”. Rob Pattinson indeed does bathe and he was amidst huge crowds all last year promoting Twilight and no one mentioned he had a stench. He does smoke and being on the run (not to mention being 22 years of age) I doubt he has time or facilities to get his clothes cleaned daily…and we know he had a limited wardrobe as we see the same clothes in photos pretty often.
At no time has he appeared to me to be mentally unstable! He is a sensitive man ( shouldn’t an actor be that?) and will talk about his emotions…to me that means he is MORE stable, not less!
Check out his past interviews on the net and see how nervous he is which is obvious by his giggles and he feels the need to not have dead air space so he says “things”. They just pop right out of his mouth which is a great deal of his charm…and I have not seen a whit of professional jealousy from this man. In fact he is under a huge amount of stress and surveillance in his private life and truly I think he is handling it quite well…I just hope it doesn’t eventually wear him down.

They are actually filming in town here and there have been numerous Edward sightings. Haven’t heard of any smells though.
