Hi I am here to say that I am a hypocrite and am very ashamed of it. I worked for Wal Mart for a little over 7 years and was involved in all levels of management. I got to see how bad the company is run and that they treat their “associates” like tools rather than people. I truly believe Sam Walton was a great man and ran the company with class and respect; it’s the bozos’ that run it now that are screwing it up.
My issue is that I still shop there for the things I can’t buy online or in a bulk store like Sams Club, another Wal Mart owned store. There are not many options for shopping in our area and the ones that are here are too expensive or just scary. Wal Mart is so much cheaper than anywhere else and we are on a pretty tight budget. The grocery stores that can beat Wal Mart on price have in my opinion questionable products for sale and I won’t risk going to sub generic products with my kids, only the best generics for them.
So every two to three weeks I hate myself a little more as I drive to one of the alters of the department store gods and give them a little more of my soul. I wish I either knew less about Wal Mart or had a different option for shopping.
LOL…we forgive you. At least you can be nice to those associates and brighten their day while you’re there.
